Home Cooking in Natal!

June 28, 2012 by Lanita Boyd

Yesterday our team was blessed with a delicious noon dinner cooked for us by the missionaries here. Since there are nine of us, they brought the food to the building rather than have us in their homes.

Menu: curried chicken, seasoned pasta, sliced roast beef, tossed salad, rice, and beans, plus a wonderful chocolate dessert and peach cobbler. We ate and ate and were so grateful for it. The icing on the cake? We got to take all the leftovers upstairs to eat later!

Beyond the tastiness of the food was the luxury of not shopping for food, hauling it up three flights of stairs, preparing it, and cleaning up afterward. Wow! Talk about added blessings!

Everyone here is a kind and loving to us. Our readers are earnest and respectful, all appreciating the opportunity for practice in English conversation. And we appreciate them, too. And the prayers for all of us!
